They defied the odds. Found their voice. And used it.
Then what? Maria finds out in these conversations with people whose stories of finding and using their voice help us do it, too.
What happens after finding your voice? In each episode, host Maria Sikoutris-Dilorio feeds her own fascination with stories of how— against all odds—people found their voice and are using it. Have a Story to Share?
Every meaningful conversation starts with someone willing to share their story. If you've found your voice through life's challenges—and believe your experience could encourage someone else—we'd love to hear from you.
Because Voice. Is. Everything.
WHY WE’RE HERE.
Voice is Everything Media is here, now, because we believe voice is where it’s at, more people are ready to find theirs, and we can help it happen - in ways they can watch, read, and experience.
Thirty years as a therapist have confirmed Maria’s belief that moving to the other side of your silence is one of the most important developmental crossings you can make. She gets it. She has lived it. She has guided others to live it, too. And now, through Voice Is Everything Media, Maria and her team bring her message and methods to a broader audience through stories, humor, and her endless fascination with how people who’ve done it did it, and what happened next.
We are right on time. At every age, voice matters. Maria’s presence in all we do at Voice Is Everything Media means what we bring you is psychologically informed, relationally grounded, and culturally aware. The models we use for voice reclamation are both compassionate and participatory.
It’s why we’re here. Now.
What does someone like Maria do when she witnessed her granddaughter try and try again to cross the monkey bars until she did it? She writes a book to inspire others to stay with it and reach what matters to them. Read her story about the book, below.

In Maria’s words, “I’ll never forget that day in the park. My four-year old granddaughter, Jayce, was determined to cross the monkey bars. She would fall off, climb back up, and try again. Blisters formed and broke and bled, but it didn’t stop her. She kept trying until she made it to the other side. I stood there, amazed.
And then something woke up in me. I saw myself in Jayce and realized that I have crossed many monkey bars in my life, bloody hands and all. Like Jayce, I have defied the odds and reached the other side as a psychotherapist, author, and business woman whose Greek father told me early on that I should have been a boy.
So, of course, I proved him wrong and devote myself to helping others reclaim their voice. Why? Because I’ve come to believe something deeply: Voice is everything.”
COMING SOON! Jayce, Harry, and Brynn Find Their Voice.
If you have spent years feeling silenced, know that reclaiming your voice is possible.
It may begin with speaking one truth that you have been holding inside. It may mean setting a boundary, asking for support, sharing an opinion, or expressing a feeling that has long gone unspoken.
Your voice does not need to be perfect. It simply needs to be yours.
